Jest, Satire, Irony and Deeper Meaning

On June 15 at the Mensa am Studentenhaus.

From April to June, the Studiobühne – the student theatre in Würzburg – presents six different productions on stage at the Mensa am Studentenhaus.

To conclude the summer season, the student theatre presents Jest, Satire, Irony and Deeper Meaning, a satirical comedy by Christian Dietrich Grabbe:
With wit, exaggerated comedy, and an ironic perspective, the play pokes fun at social conventions, moral values, and human vanity. Through a series of bizarre encounters – including noblemen, citizens, poets, and even the devil himself – the production unfolds into a turbulent comedy that combines humour with surprisingly profound ideas.

This performance is a guest production by students of Sorbonne University in Paris (France). The play will be performed in German. The Studiobühne is delighted to continue this artistic partnership for a second consecutive year and to further strengthen international cultural exchange.
