The animal protection organization PETA has once again recognized Germany's most vegan-friendly university dining halls. For the first time, all 57 student services organizations (Studierendenwerke) across Germany participated in the evaluation and completed a comprehensive questionnaire. The assessment considered the variety of vegan meals, pricing, the labeling of vegan dishes, and future plans to further expand plant-based food options.
The Mensa am Studentenhaus in Würzburg and the Mensa Austraße in Bamberg each achieved Gold status, earning 89 out of 100 possible points. In the overall national ranking, this secured an impressive 4th place.
This award is a wonderful recognition of the dedication and hard work of our dining hall teams and their commitment to providing a diverse, modern, and sustainable food service. A heartfelt thank you to all our colleagues whose daily efforts ensure that plant-based cuisine is a natural and varied part of our menus!
